Grayson Skatepark Overview
The skatepark is owned and operated by Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation and covers almost 13,000 square feet, providing a range of features and obstacles suitable for skateboarders, BMX riders, inline skaters, and scooter riders of all skill levels.
The skatepark features a street course with a variety of elements such as banks, transitions, corners, rails, and ledges. In addition, there is a multi-bowl ranging from 5½ to 10½ feet deep, catering more to the experienced bowl and vert crowd.
Grayson Skatepark has specific operating hours, with adult-only (ages 18+) hours from 12:30 pm-3 pm, Monday to Friday. Youth hours begin at 3 pm, and the park is open on Saturdays and Sundays. All users must sign in at the Help Desk in the Recreation Center before using the skatepark, and a waiver must be completed prior to skating.
