Vandergriff Skatepark
Vandergriff Skatepark is a large concrete skateboarding facility located at Vandergriff Park in Arlington, Texas. Designed and constructed in multiple phases, the park incorporates three primary terrain zones—plaza, bowl, and a modern snake-run–style youth area. The layout was developed to integrate with the park’s existing mature trees and includes design elements inspired by the iconic City of Arlington logo.
Now fully complete, Vandergriff Skatepark serves as the city’s first modern concrete skatepark and one of the largest destination skateparks in the Dallas–Fort Worth region, drawing riders from across North Texas.

Skatepark Overview
Vandergriff Skatepark was delivered through a phased construction approach aligned with funding milestones, resulting in a multi-terrain facility that accommodates a wide range of riding styles and experience levels. The park’s design incorporates artistic cues from the City of Arlington logo, and its layout was planned around the existing mature tree cover to preserve the character of the surrounding park.
The plaza area includes stairs, handrails, ledges, banks, and hips arranged to provide varied lines and support advanced street skating. The bowl section offers deeper, more traditional transition terrain suited for speed, carving, and vertical-focused riding. Completing the facility is a modern youth-focused snake-run zone, which features flowing curves and progressive transitions that allow newer riders to develop comfort and control while offering enough speed and creativity for experienced skaters.
As Arlington’s first modern concrete skatepark, Vandergriff Skatepark has quickly become a significant regional draw, offering one of the most diverse and compelling skate environments in North Texas. Its combination of plaza, bowl, and snake-run terrain positions it as both a local community resource and a destination park for skaters across the broader DFW area.
