Skatepark Overview
Taku Skatepark’s redesign, completed in 2024, marked a significant upgrade for Anchorage’s skateboarding scene, making it the largest skatepark in the city.
Designed by Grindline Skateparks, the park combines flow and plaza-style features, creating ample opportunities for riders of all skill levels to hone their craft. The park’s standout elements—like the whale tail-shaped bowl and the Big Dipper inlay—celebrate the unique Alaskan landscape and culture.
The park’s construction was a community effort, funded by local donations, voter-approved bonds, and a Skatepark Project grant, making it a central hub for the Anchorage riding community.
