Borrego Springs Skatepark Overview
Located in Borrego Springs, California, Badlands Skatepark opened in 2002, this outdoor facility, encompasses 26,000 square feet. The park was designed by SITE Design Group and offers a range of transition and street features. For being located in such a remote area, this is a large and well-made park.
The park features an encapsulated bowl run that varies in depth from 4 to 9 feet, including a spine that leads into a 5-foot bowl. This design allows for smooth transitions and varied skating experiences. Additionally, the park includes a sizeable reservoir section with transitions ranging from 3 to 7 feet, providing a range of options for different skating styles.
Badlands Skatepark also includes a mix of rails and ledges. These elements are strategically placed throughout the park, allowing skaters to explore and develop their skills in a comprehensive environment.
The park is privately operated by the Boys and Girls Club, which charges for entry. It’s equipped with lighting for evening sessions and is gated. Be sure to check whether it will be open before heading out there.
