Port Huron Skatepark Overview
Port Huron Skatepark, which is located in the town’s Optimist Park, is a replacement for the city’s older skatepark. The new park, designed and built by Grindline Skateparks, will feature 10,000-square-feet of skateable terrain.

The design calls for a street plaza area and a large flow bowl. The street section will include a hip, banks, hubbas, rails, ledges and manual boxes. As of January 2023, construction on the park was complete, but the grand opening isn’t expected to occur until sometime in spring – when it’s warmer.
The city received matching grants awards from the Tony Hawk Foundation and the Michigan Department of Natural Resources Land and Water Conservation Fund, as well as local private donations, to design and construct the skatepark.
